CST 336 Week 8

 

WELCOME TO WEEK 8

Learning Journal

This week went by so quickly since it was a shorter week. We successfully completed our project and did a great job incorporating all the required elements. Everyone fully participated and helped each other out with bugs or any issues that came up. Aside from the project, we also worked on other required files. Each person recorded their part, and I successfully merged them into one video. For a moment, I panicked because when I uploaded the video to Canvas, it showed up blank in the discussion. If I hadn’t double-checked, I might not have caught it! Thankfully, I did, and after a bit of time (and patience), I was able to successfully upload the video.

As I mentioned, we ran into some errors during the project, but the team was super helpful and supportive, and we were able to overcome all the obstacles. Now it’s time to relax for the holidays and enjoy the break! This class has been one of my favorites, and I’m excited to continue developing my skills with Express, JavaScript, and more. I even have an idea now for how to create a web page for my friend’s business. How cool is that?

CST 338 Week 7/8

  WELCOME TO WEEK 7 Journal:       This week has certainly made me look back at all the things I learned in this course. The challenges I faced and breakthroughs as well. I think back on the assignment "Jotto" and remember the difficulty I had because I was new to Java. With the things I learned, I feel there would be different approaches I could try. When I worked on "Markov," I felt much more confident and had less difficulty completing that assignment. It felt really good passing all the unit tests and having the correct output. Another assignment where I felt really good was Project 1, although there were instances where I had trouble, I was able to successfully accomplish the goal. CST 300 Week 7

WELCOME TO WEEK 7   Part One:      The group has done a excellent good in collaborating and keeping the process running smoothly, especially thanks to Luis, who was able to get ahead and start the research. We have been using Discord to communicate and share our work for the team's Final Research Video Project. With the completion of our recordings, the next step is editing.  Soon, we will be able to integrate them into the presentation. Afterwards, we will add the finishing touches that are needed.  Part Two:      This week's lecture assignments  were to review TedTalk videos and presentation resources. The TedTalk video I chose was "Why AI will Spark Exponential Economic Growth" by Cathie Wood. She focuses on the new innovations happening today . The innovations mentioned include Artificial Intelligence, Multiomic Sequencing, Robotics, Energy Storage, and Public Blockchains.
